QBCBC 30: Heineken

The Quest for the Best Cheap Beer in a Can continues, episode 30: Heineken. The QBCBC archive is here.

This beer has canvertising for 2, count it, 2 statement about quality! Way to be redundant. “The Original Quality” and “Brewed with Passion for Quality”. Why not just combine them and save space with Brewed with Passion for Original Quality??

% Alcohol: 5.4

Price: $2.39/16 oz. can = $1.79/12 oz. can

Punch: 5.4%/$1.79=3.0

Color: Like a proper lager!

Aroma: Floral and citrusy.

First Sip: A good bitterness to it, a tad sharp on the attack, but not skunked.

Aftertaste: Some definite hops on the back of the tongue that lingers for a little while.

Overall: Not bad, a good solid lager. For its price it’s pretty much out of the Quest though. Equivalent (in quality) beer exists for much cheaper

Score: 7/10
